Raipur. To expedite the works of the Public Works Department and complete them on time, the state government has issued new guidelines regarding tenders. Now before the tender for road and bridge construction, the concerned executive engineer will have to certify that 90 percent of the land is unobstructed for the work. Tender can be invited only when the entire land is unobstructed for building construction. Deputy Chief Minister and Public Works Minister Arun Saw has given instructions to speed up and tighten the departmental works, after which the state government has issued a circular in this regard to all Chief Engineers, Superintending Engineers and Executive Engineers including the Chief Engineer. The department has said to ensure strict compliance of the new guidelines. Disciplinary action will be taken against the concerned officer if these are not followed properly.
