With the sighting of the moon on the 29th day of Ramzan, it was decided that Eid would be celebrated on Saturday. It was announced to celebrate Eid by sounding sirens from mosques and bursting shells in the grounds. People hugged each other and congratulated on sighting the moon. Now on April 22, Eid prayers will be held in more than 50 mosques and Idgahs.

The first Jamaat will be held at Chhotapara Masjid and the last at 11 am at Baijnathpara Madrasa. Along with the 29th fast of Ramzan, the prayers of goodbye Zuma were also offered on Friday. Goodbye… Goodbye… Khutba of the month of Ramadan was read in the mosques.

With the sighting of the Eid moon, people thronged the markets. Shopping went on till late night. A huge crowd of people was seen at the shops of shoes, clothes, makeup, dry fruits, vermicelli. Along with readymade clothes, people also reached the shops of tailors to buy clothes. For the preparation of Eid, people were also seen waiting for their turn in Mehndi and beauty parlours.
