Raipur. MIC members of the corporation, angry with the slow pace of development work in the capital Raipur, red tape of files and political discrimination, submitted a memorandum to Commissioner Abinash Mishra. All of them accused the commissioner of ignoring the decisions of MIC meetings under political pressure and demanded the release of the financial status of the corporation. MIC members will again meet the corporation commissioner on Monday under the chairmanship of Mayor Ejaz Dhebar. Meanwhile, a strategy has been made to meet the secretary and minister if the commissioner does not act on the demands of the public representatives of the corporation. Also, preparations for agitation can also be made if needed.
MIC member Srikumar Memon said that the decision to spend 15% of the revenue collected on the development of wards after the assembly elections has not been implemented yet. Due to this, the development work of the city has come to a standstill. In the memorandum submitted to the commissioner, a demand has been made to hold a review meeting of all departments in the presence of the mayor and MIC members within seven days, start of work on which work orders have been issued, take a concrete decision on tax collection against the rules in the vacant plots of the city, and give immediate approval of Rs 50-50 lakh for the development work of the wards. The commissioner has said that he will consider this by September 2.
While handing over the memorandum to the Municipal Corporation Commissioner, Chairman Pramod Dubey, MIC member Gyanesh Sharma, Shrikumar Memon, Nagbhushan Rao, Ritesh Tripathi, Jitendra Aggarwal, Suresh Channavar, Akash Tiwari and other members were present.
