New Delhi: India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rain in many areas of North East, East, South and North West India till October 12. In the national capital Delhi, the weather office has predicted partly cloudy sky with light drizzle on October 10. The Meteorological Department says that there is a possibility of sporadic heavy rainfall with thunder and lightning in Tamil Nadu till October 11. There may be heavy rain in South Interior Karnataka till October 10 and Kerala till October 12. The weather office said that there will be no special weather in the central and western India region during the next four days.
After October 12, the weather office has predicted fairly widespread light/moderate rainfall over parts of South Peninsular India, Northeast India and islands for 2 days. The IMD has also predicted scattered rain over parts of eastern India and dry weather over the rest of the country during the same period. Meanwhile, meteorologists have predicted thunderstorms with lightning in many parts of India till Thursday. Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has also predicted the withdrawal of south-west monsoon from various states during the next two days.
The weather office in its recent forecast said, ‘Remaining parts of East Uttar Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh; Conditions are becoming favorable for the withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon from Bihar, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, parts of Telangana and some more parts of Maharashtra and central Arabian Sea. During the next 2 days.’ Talking about today’s weather, according to Skymet Weather report, light to moderate rain will occur in parts of Northeast India and Tamil Nadu, Coastal Karnataka, South Interior Karnataka, parts of Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. There may be some heavy rain with rain.
Scattered snowfall with light to moderate rain is possible in Gilgit Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and Jammu and Kashmir. Light rain is possible in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand and rain at isolated places in Ladakh. Whereas in Postal Andhra Pradesh and Lakshadweep, there may be moderate rain once or twice along with light rain. Weather will remain dry in the rest of the country
