Raipur. It has been barely 6 months since the Bharatiya Janata Party government came to power in Chhattisgarh. In 6 months, we got the opportunity to do little work, after which the Lok Sabha elections were announced. The code of conduct came into force. But before the code of conduct came into force, in just 100 days, our government has fulfilled all the major promises of Modi’s guarantee on priority, which gave us better results in the Lok Sabha. People’s trust has increased on our government including PM Modi. In the coming time, we will gradually fulfill the remaining promises of guarantee.

While talking to journalists in New Delhi, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said that we got the full blessings of the people of Chhattisgarh in the assembly elections. The voters of Chhattisgarh believed in Modi’s guarantee, the Bharatiya Janata Party, our Prime Minister Narendra Modi and we formed the government for the fourth time. BJP got more blessings than the previous three BJP governments. The party got 54 seats and more than 46% votes. Living up to the trust of the people, we fulfilled the main promise of Modi’s guarantee in 100 days.

Farmers were given bonus of 2 years’ arrears

CM Sai said that 18 lakh people were deprived of Pradhan Mantri Awas in the last five years during the Congress government. During the election campaign, the Prime Minister also said that if the BJP government is formed in Chhattisgarh, then the Chief Minister will first approve the Pradhan Mantri Awas. I am proud to tell that we took oath on 13 December 2023 and on 14 December itself, 18 lakh Pradhan Mantri Awas were approved. On 25 December 2023, on the occasion of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birth anniversary, Good Governance Day, we worked to give 2 years’ pending bonus to more than 12 lakh farmers. Describing Chhattisgarh as a “rice bowl”, he talked about fulfilling the promise of buying 21 quintals of paddy per acre from the farmers at the rate of Rs 3100 per quintal as per the promise.

The Chief Minister said that under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, four installments of Rs. 1000 each will be issued to more than 70 lakh women of the state. He said that his government has also started the CBI inquiry into the PSC scam and the Ramlala Darshan Yojana. He told the journalists that the purchase of tendu leaves has also been started at the rate of Rs. 5500 per standard sack and a time period of 15 days has been fixed for the purchase. Our fight against Naxalism gained further momentum

Speaking against Naxalism, CM Sai said that our BJP government fought strongly against Naxalism for the last 15 years and when the BJP government was formed again, our fight against Naxalism has gained momentum with the coordination between the Center and the State. He urged the media colleagues and said that Naxalism, which is the identity of Chhattisgarh, is nothing like what people think. Therefore, do not look at Chhattisgarh with such eyes at all. Naxalism is present only in some places in five districts. So far more than 25 security camps have been set up in these areas and this means that the benefits of all the schemes of the government are to be made available to the people within a radius of 5 kilometers of the camp. Naxalites are continuously shrinking. CM Sai said that there are immense possibilities of tourism in Chhattisgarh. Our Bastar is a paradise, where there is Chitrakote Waterfall to Kutumsar Cave and Tirathgarh Waterfall. Our effort is to develop the tourism sector as much as possible, so that the source of income increases. There is no dearth of mineral reserves in Chhattisgarh, iron ore is abundant, there is the entire Bailadila mountain. There is gold, diamonds and lithium. Mineral wealth is abundant, there are more than 100 forest products and hardworking farmers. Therefore, all the residents of Chhattisgarh will work together to build a “developed Chhattisgarh”.
