There will be no water supply in Raipur this evening i.e. on 6th and 7th March. Because of this, more than 1.5 lakh houses will not have water. Actually, there has been a leakage in the pipeline of raw water coming from the river to the filter plant, the repair work of which has started from today.
Officials said that there will be a shutdown of about 14 hours during the repairs. There will be no water supply from 30 tanks of the city for 2 days.
These areas will be affected
According to officials, the Municipal Corporation’s Water Department team is repairing this leakage. Due to this, there will be no water in the tanks of Bhathagaon, Changorabhatha, Kushalpur, DD Nagar, Idgahbhatha, Sarona, Tatibandh, Kota, Kabir Nagar, Jarvai, Gogaon, Mathpuraina and Lalpur, which are filled by the 150 MLD plant.
Apart from this, there will be no water in the tanks of Amlidih, Avanti Vihar, Mandi, Mova, Saddu, Daldal Seoni, Ramnagar, Kachna, Amasivni, Devpuri, Boriyakhurd, Jora, Bhanpuri, Raipura, Kukurbeda, Baron Bazar, Devendra Nagar. These water tanks supply water to more than 2 lakh houses in the city. Apart from these areas, water supply in other parts will be as usual.
Water will be supplied through tankers
Municipal Corporation Water Department Chairman Satnam Singh Panag said that the repair work of the pipeline will affect the water supply from almost all the tanks of the city. We will try to complete the work before time. During this period, alternative supply of water will continue. For this, water will be supplied through tanker.
