While reviewing the status of tenders for works approved in the financial years 2023-24 and 2024-25, Water Resources Minister Kedar Kashyap said that the tender process of all approved works should be carried out with a target in accordance with the instructions given in the previous meeting. Minister Kedar Kashyap said that the tender work orders up to 31 December 2024 should be completed before the code of conduct and he has also instructed the officials to keep them informed about the works from time to time.Due to non-receipt of revised administrative approval, it has been asked to immediately submit a proposal to the Government for getting approval from the Council of Ministers for approval of schemes which are incomplete for a long time, so that the schemes can be approved in time and the related works can be completed.
Instructions to work seriously on water linking scheme
Regarding the river linking campaign, Minister Kedar Kashyap said that this is an important scheme of the Central Government. Proposals should be sent to NWDA to include the project connecting Mahanadi to Indravati river in the Godavari Kaveri Link Project. He told the officials to start the work of calling EOI for the works related to Dam Safety Act and installation of groundwater smart meters as soon as possible. In the meeting, Minister Kedar Kashyap has directed to send DPR to the government to complete the survey of connecting Sikasar Dam to Kodar Dam within a month.
Chief Engineer’s Office will open soon in Jagdalpur
Due to the efforts of Water Resources Minister Kedar Kashyap, the people of Bastar will get a Chief Engineer’s Office. Officials said that the Finance Department has approved the Chief Engineer’s Office in Jagdalpur. The office will be started immediately after completing the necessary formalities.
The new recruitment process will be completed soon
On the instructions of Water Resources Minister Kedar Kashyap, approval for 22 posts for the State Water Information Center has been received from the Finance Department. The office will be started after completing all the formalities. On this occasion, Water Resources Secretary Rajesh Sukumar Toppo, Chief Engineer Indrajit Uike, Chief Engineer S.V. Bhagwat, K.S. Guruvar, S.K. Tikam, D.K. Umerkar, R.K. Indavar and other departmental officials were present.
