5 years relaxation in recruitment age limit extended for 5
Male candidates will get 5 years relaxation in higher age limit for police constable cadre recruitment.

In the cabinet meeting held at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan here this evening under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, an important decision was taken in the interest of the educated unemployed youth of the state, which will benefit lakhs of youth of the state. The relaxation of 5 years given in the maximum age limit of 35 years to the local residents of Chhattisgarh state has been extended for another 5Candidates will get the benefit of 5 years relaxation in age limit till 31 December 2028
The Council of Ministers also decided in the meeting that other special categories will continue to get the relaxation in upper age limit as before. The maximum age limit including all relaxations will be 45 years. This relaxation will not be applicable for the Home (Police) Department, but keeping in mind the interests of the candidates in the long-running recruitment process for the District Police Constable cadre of Chhattisgarh Police, the Council of Ministers has also decided that the Police Constable Male candidates of the cadre will be given relaxation of five years in the higher age limit.
It is noteworthy that in the year 2018 , advertisement was issued for recruitment to 2259 vacant posts in District Police Constable cadre of Chhattisgarh Police . After this, after about 5 years, on October 42023 , an advertisement has been issued for the recruitment of 5967 vacant posts of constable cadre , for which the process of taking online applications from the candidates is going on. With this decision of the Cabinet, male candidates will get a relaxation of five years in the upper age limit in the ongoing recruitment process for the constable cadre , due to which lakhs of youth of the state who have become ineligible from applying due to the pre-determined age limit , will get this relaxation. Due to this, one will get the opportunity to participate in the recruitment process of Police Constable Cadre.
Another important decision was taken in the Council of Ministers meeting. Under which, a sub-committee of the Council of Ministers will be formed to withdraw the cases related to purely political movements from the courts , which will deliberate on these cases and give its recommendations for further action.
