Raipur. Municipal Corporation Raipur is now preparing to displace street vendors. In view of the increasing traffic chaos in Raipur city, the Town Vending Committee of the Municipal Corporation has approved the development of 6 vending zones. In the first phase, land has been identified for vending zones at 6 different places as a model. Model vending zones will be created on the lines of the revenue sharing model through tender registered advertising agencies. Municipal Corporation Raipur is not going to spend any kind of money for the vending zone. It will be based on revenue sharing through advertising agencies. In which tenders have been issued for three sites.Along with this, there are plans to create vending zones at Aamapara near Karitalaab, Dharna Sthal near Budhatalaab and behind Mahalaxmi Kapda Market in Pandri. After the approval of the Town Vending Committee, tenders for these sites will also be issued.
