Raipur. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma today unveiled the statue of martyr Sanjay Yadav at Shaheed Sanjay Yadav Government Higher Secondary School in Sanjay Nagar, Tikrapara, Raipur. During this, Deputy Chief Minister Sharma also said that the government of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai will build a memorial for all those 1200 martyrs who have sacrificed their lives to protect democracy and society. Deputy CM Vijay Sharma said that the sacrifice of martyr Sanjay Yadav will remain indelible in the history of Chhattisgarh and he has made a significant contribution to the security of the state with his bravery. It was as a result of the better education of the family members of martyr Sanjay Yadav that they went ahead to make the supreme sacrifice of life. He is feeling proud to be with the family of such brave martyrs. He said, fighting the Naxalites is not normal, it is a fight to save democracy. We all are indebted to those who sacrificed their lives to protect democracy.
his decision will be a symbol of our gratitude towards the brave sons of Chhattisgarh.
He also told that he got information about the statue when he went to martyr Sanjay Yadav’s house 6-8 months ago. During the meeting, the family told that the statue has not been installed. Today this statue has been unveiled in the presence of all of you.
On this occasion, along with the martyr’s parents, wife, Raipur IG Amresh Mishra, SSP Santosh Singh, District Education Officer Vijay Khandelwal and the school’s principal, he rewarded the talented children of the school by giving them certificates and medals. He appealed to the children to take inspiration from the biography of martyr Sanjay Yadav and become brave and nation protectors.
Biography of Martyr Sanjay Yadav
Martyr Head Constable Sanjay Yadav was born on 21 March 1974 in Tikrapara, Raipur district, Chhattisgarh. His mother’s name is Shyama Bai Yadav and father’s name is Baratu Ram Yadav. A brilliant and disciplined student since childhood, Sanjay Yadav received his primary education from Nutan Government School, Tikrapara and Khalsa School, Raipur. Sanjay Yadav joined Raipur City Service on 04 September 1998 and served for 07 years. In 2005, he joined the post of GD constable in Rajnandgaon district and served in the police department. In 2008, due to his excellent work and breaking the Naxalite network, he was promoted to the post of Head Constable by giving him out of promotion.
On 12 July 2009, martyr Sanjay Yadav displayed indomitable courage and attained martyrdom along with the then Superintendent of Police, martyr Vinod Chaubey, during a Naxalite encounter in Korkatti under Madanwada police station Mohla in Rajnandgaon region. The people of Chhattisgarh will always remember his sacrifice.
