Raipur, 22 December 2021. A delegation led by Paluram Pradhan, Secretary, All India Rautiya Samaj Vikas Parishad, Jashpur, met Governor Ms. Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhavan. The delegation urged to include the Rautia caste in the Scheduled Tribes.
The delegation informed that the Rautia caste residing in Chhattisgarh was notified as a Scheduled Tribe in the 1931 census list and in the Madhya Pradesh Gazette in 1950, but in the 1956 Gazette of India, it was easy to remove the Rautia caste from the list of Scheduled Tribes. Rathia caste has been notified in number 15. The delegation said that Rathia is not a caste, it is written only in the form of surname, which due to spelling error has been written as Rathia in the gazette instead of Rautia caste. Therefore, Rautia caste should be included in the Scheduled Tribe.
The delegation included Meenu Prasad Singh, Nirmal Singh,  Nand Kishore Rauteya and  Ram Kishore Ram.
