Raipur, 18 March 2021. The Union Cabinet Secretary, Government of India, Shri Rajiv Gauba reviewed the works of the Jal Shakti Mission in a meeting of the Chief Secretaries of all the states of the country through video conferencing from New Delhi today. At the meeting, Chief Secretary of Chhattisgarh Government Shri Amitabh Jain attended video conferencing from Chips office Raipur. On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Shri Subrata Sahu, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Shri Rakesh Chaturvedi and other senior officers were present.
The Union Cabinet Secretary gave special emphasis to the Chief Secretaries on public awareness of water conservation and water harvesting. He stressed on ensuring participation of villagers and other people in the Jal Shakti Mission campaign being conducted from 23 March onwards. For this, a special Gram Sabha was also organized and discussed about this.
