Raipur. The 38th National Youth Basketball Championship will be held in Pondicherry, Tamil Nadu, in which Vicky Bhagat and Shreya Das of Surguja district from Chhattisgarh will play. In the Chhattisgarh Youth Basketball team, both Vicky Bhagat in the boys’ category and Shreya Das in the girls’ category have been selected for the 38th National Youth Basketball Championship. This competition will be held from 9th April to 15th April.
Getting selected in the Open Championship in basketball game from Surguja division is a big achievement in itself. National coach Rajesh Pratap Singh said that both these children have been practicing on the basketball ground of Gandhi Stadium for the last many years and both are hardworking players.
National coach told that Vicky Bhagat is from a poor family. Vicky Bhagat distributes newspapers in the morning and then practices. The rest of the day he sells fruits on a fruit cart with his father. Then he practices basketball in the evening. I salute the hard work of Vicky Bhagat. Everyone congratulated these two players on their selection for the National Youth Championship competition and congratulated them in advance for their good performance in sports.
