Chhattisgarh is now going to take new initiatives in the field of health. On the lines of AIIMS, super specialty hospitals will be opened in all the divisional headquarters of the state. Also, under the Shaheed Veernarayan Singh Ayushman Health Scheme, the poor will be provided free treatment facility up to Rs 5 lakh.
Along with this, 6 district hospitals of the state, Gariaband, Kawardha, Mungeli, Raigarh, Baikunthpur and Narayanpur will be developed as model district hospitals. At the same time, Ambikapur Medical College Raipur AIIMS has also been included in the Centre’s Drone Technology in Health Care Sector project. On February 19, for the first time, medicines and reports were sent from Ambikapur to Udaipur by drone.
Treatment will be done with the help of robot-drone
On Thursday, Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, while replying to the discussion on grant demands in the Assembly, announced to provide the facility of drone service as well as modern medical services like robot technology, robot doctor to provide immediate health facilities in the state. He has also announced to open a trauma center by marking a place on Raipur-Bilaspur highway.
Medicines sent by drone to Ambikapur
On February 19, medicines and reports were sent to Udaipur by drone from Rajmata Smt. Devendra Kumari Singhdev Medical College, Ambikapur. The drone covered a distance of about 40 km in 27 minutes and returned with the sample in 21 minutes. This was the first experiment of its kind in the state.
This is a project of the Drone Technology in Health Care Sector of the Government of India. In this, only 25 out of 650 medical colleges across the country have been selected. These also include Ambikapur Medical College and Raipur AIIMS.
The objective of providing health facilities to remote areas
After the success of this pilot project of the Central Government, after the implementation of this scheme, in case of jam, bridge collapse or road obstruction due to other reasons, health facilities will be provided, medicines will be delivered, sample collection, reporting and other important works will be done. Drones can be used for.
Drone Didi will operate
The drones will be operated by two self-help groups in collaboration with drone manufacturing companies. This project has been named Drone Didi. The women of the group have also been trained in Delhi to operate drones. It will be used only in emergency situations.
393 lab technicians will be recruited
To provide pathology testing facilities in remote primary health centres, 393 lab technicians will soon be recruited. To ensure that health facilities reach remote areas, provision for 57 new mobile medical units has also been made in this budget.
There will be recruitment for 5 districts also
While replying, the Health Minister said that provision of 165 new posts has been made for CMHO office in 5 new districts Sakti, Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki, Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur and Sargarh-Bilaigarh.
New health center will be opened in High Court
Along with opening 220 bedded hospitals in Manendragarh and Kunkuri, provision has also been made for construction of their buildings. Provision for opening a new community health center in the residential complex of Bilaspur High Court and upgrading Kurud Community Health Center from 50 bedded to 100 bedded hospital has been kept in the budget of the coming year.
