, Raipur. The movement of the Trained D.Ed and B.Ed Union is continuing in Chhattisgarh for 10 point demands including teacher recruitment and cancellation of rationalization. Thousands of educated unemployed youth who reached Tuta Dharna Sthal in Nava Raipur from different districts of the state are protesting for their demands. Today the representatives of the union submitted a memorandum to Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw in Dhamtari and discussed their demands. After this, the striking youth left for Kawardha, where they will meet Deputy CM Vijay Sharma.
66 youth will sit on hunger strike
Union President Dawood Khan said that Dawood Khan made it clear that even after meeting the Deputy CM, if the notification for teacher recruitment is not issued and the demands are not met, then 66 youth from all the districts will sit on a hunger strike from tomorrow. The union says that their demands have been pending for a long time and now the government needs to take concrete steps.
10 point demands of Chhattisgarh Trained D.Ed and B.Ed Association –
- The recruitment process for 33 thousand vacant teachers in the schools of the state should start soon which should include the posts of all faculties and subjects.
- Recruitment of teacher/category-02 should be subject wise.
- The government’s decision to close thousands of schools in the name of rationalization should not be postponed but cancelled.
- Keeping the 2008 setup of the School Education Department intact, the process of new recruitment should be completed as soon as possible.
- Recruitment should be started soon to fulfill the announcement of 1844 posts of Librarian in the state and the post of lecturer in Arts Faculty has not been created for the last 14 years which should be included in the upcoming teacher recruitment.
- Recruitment should be started soon for the 1440 vacant posts of physical education teachers and agriculture teachers in the schools of the state.
- 5% relaxation should be given to reserved category in the upcoming teacher recruitment.
- Posts should be created for PG Diploma holders in Chhattisgarhi in the schools of the state and recruitment should be made on these posts too.
- Due to lack of recruitment on time, many D.Ed and B.Ed candidates are becoming over age and will become ineligible to become teachers, they should be given additional age relaxation.
- Teacher Eligibility Test should be organised twice a year by Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board.
