Marwahi. Arpa Mahotsav was organized by the district administration on the fourth anniversary of the formation of the district. Tourism and Culture Minister Brijmohan Agarwal along with Public Health and Family Welfare and District In-charge Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal also participated in the ceremony organized at the Multipurpose School in Pendra. On this special occasion, he also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 70 development works costing Rs 35.26 crore. During the Arpa Mahotsav, Tourism and Culture Minister Brijmohan Aggarwal addressed the people of the district on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and the people of the state. Gave congratulations and best wishes for the establishment of the district. He said that nature has blessed Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district a lot. Arpa is the life giving river here. If there was no Arpa, the people of Bilaspur would not have got drinking water. Farmers are getting irrigation facilities from this river. There are immense possibilities of tourism here. The life of the tribals depends on the forest produce here.
The light of development should reach every home
Minister Brijmohan Aggarwal said that development should reach the ground, our effort is to bring the light of development to every home. Keeping in mind the much-awaited demand and need of the people of the district, he assured to get the approval of Pendra Bypass within a month. Along with this, getting approval for Sports Complex, increasing the number of beds in Community Health Center Marwahi to 50 beds, developing Malaniya Dame as a tourist destination, giving Rs 25 lakh for the development of Adishakti Durga Temple, making Rajmergarh a world class hill station. Announced to be developed as a station. Apart from this, he also talked about making every effort to get Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district recognized as a tourism district. On the other hand, Health Minister Shyam Bihar Jaiswal said that today is a day of celebration for the people of the district. Arpa Mahotsav is an occasion to celebrate together. This district Arpa is the mother of origin of Son river. Apart from Chhattisgarh, these rivers are the lifeblood of many states. He said that there will be no shortage of funds for the development of the district. Together we will move the district forward. During this program, Collector Priyanka Rishi Mahobia presented the development report of the district. He informed about the works done in the field of tourism development, establishment of biodiesel plant from inedible seeds, plantation of aromatic and medicinal plants, Baiga development works and tightening of administrative work along with important infrastructure development works done in the last four years. Inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 70 development works worth Rs. 35.26 crores.
During the Arpa Mahotsav, Tourism and Culture Minister Brijmohan Aggarwal along with Public Health and Family Welfare and District Incharge Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal inaugurated and performed the bhoomi pujan of 70 development works worth Rs 35 crore 26 lakh 62 thousand. These include 50 inaugurations costing Rs 8 crore 90 lakh 91 thousand and 20 Bhoomi Pujan works costing Rs 26 crore 35 lakh 71 thousand. In the ceremony, e-rickshaws were provided to 6 tourism committees under the scheme of Labor Department to promote eco-tourism and for the convenience of tourists.
Forest Officer Shashi Kumar, Additional Collector Namrata Anand Dongre, Project Director DRDA KP Tendulkar, SDM Marwahi Dileram Dahire, SDM Pendraroad Amit Beck along with public representatives, distinguished citizens and a large number of district residents were present in the Arpa Mahotsav.
