News: The Union Budget for 2024-25 was presented in Parliament on July 23. In this context, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav held a press conference through video conferencing and informed about the budget provision for various railway projects and new schemes. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that during the UPA government, Bilaspur SECR used to get a budget of about Rs 311 crore. In the NDA Modi government, this budget has increased 22 times to Rs 6922 crore. This amount will be spent on 37,000 projects, which will ensure proper development of Bilaspur SECR Railway.

Raipur . The proposal to build libraries in 13 urban bodies of the state on the lines of Nalanda campus in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, has got the green signal from the Finance Department. The libraries will be set up in different places of the state as a symbol of “knowledge based society”.
Dhamtari. Due to heavy rains in the district for the last three days, the dry dams are now receiving a good amount of water. The water level in Dhamtari’s biggest Gangrel dam is increasing by 3 centimetres every hour. So far, more than 40 percent of the Gangrel dam has been filled with water.
Jashpur. A gang related to Mahadev Satta App has been busted in Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh. Police has arrested four accused. Rs 3 crore 24 lakh 77 thousand of Satta App is being frozen. Cash amount of Rs 2 lakh 30 thousand, ATM cards of various banks, passbook, chequebook, bank seal, SIM card and passport etc. have been seized from the accused.
