Mungeli. The first phase of voting is to be held in the district tomorrow on 17 February under the three-tier panchayat elections, for which the district administration has completed preparations. The polling parties have reached their respective centers, where they were welcomed. Meanwhile, the district collector, SP, District Panchayat CEO and other officers and employees were seen eating food sitting on the ground along with the polling party.
On the other hand, as per the instructions of the State Election Commission, Collector and District Election Officer Rahul Dev inspected various polling stations along with Superintendent of Police Bhojram Patel to take stock of the preparations for the voting to be held on February 17 in the first phase in the district under the three-tier Panchayat general elections. He inquired about the facilities of waiting room, shade, drinking water, senior citizens, pregnant women and disabled voters for the voters at the polling stations and gave necessary instructions. He laid special emphasis on conducting the voting process smoothly and fairly and said that if any kind of problem arises during voting, then the district administration and sector officer should be informed immediately.
During the inspection, the Collector and SP also reviewed the food arrangements for the polling parties and sat with the polling parties at the Fasterpur polling station and had food. They encouraged the polling parties to conduct the voting process fairly as per the rules of the Election Commission. Superintendent of Police Bhojram Patel reviewed the security arrangements at the polling stations and instructed the security personnel to ensure peaceful and orderly voting. He said that unnecessary crowds should not be allowed to gather at the polling stations so that the process is not disrupted. District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Prabhakar Pandey and other officials were present during the inspection.
Let us tell you that to conduct the three-tier Panchayat elections successfully, all the polling parties have reached their designated polling stations, where the polling parties were warmly welcomed. Voting will be held on February 17 from 07 am to 03 pm. Voters will vote through ballot paper at the polling station. The counting process will begin after the voting. To prove their identity at the polling station, voters can vote at the respective polling station by presenting any one of the alternative photo identity documents such as voter ID card, PAN card, Aadhaar card and voter identity slip generated online by SECER, a software prepared by Chhattisgarh State Election Commission.
