Nitin Namdev, Raipur. Chhattisgarh Youth Congress today surrounded the Chief Minister’s residence in the capital Raipur on the issue of Employment Two Justice Two. In this siege, thousands of Youth Congress workers surrounded the Chief Minister’s residence. For the last two months, Youth Congress was running the campaign of ‘Employment Two-Justice Two’. Under this, different programs were organized in several phases. In the first phase, youth were met in colleges, universities and coaching centers and they were asked about the promises made by the Modi government through eight questions. After that, this program was extended to the general public under Panchayat Chalo and Ward Chalo, which is a phrase given by the central and state governments to the general public in the name of Modi’s guarantee. All those issues of public interest were conveyed to the public.
Today, Youth Congress workers organized a meeting in front of the indoor stadium in Raipur. In which thousands of Youth Congress workers united and participated in the meeting. Congress District President Girish Dubey, former Karmakar Mandal President Sunny Aggarwal and Zone 10 President Akashdeep Sharma were present. After that, thousands of youth tried to march towards the Chief Minister’s residence. In this, thousands of workers and thousands of Youth Congress workers and officials came towards the Chief Minister’s residence raising slogans against the government. All these thousands of workers were stopped by the police force by setting up Berry Gate near Sapre School. There was a fierce conflict between the police and the workers during the demonstration. During this, Youth Congress workers also burnt tyres.
Main points of siege of Chief Minister’s residence-
The central government had promised to provide employment to 2 crore people every year, which has not been achieved till date.
Under Mahtari Bandhan Yojana, it was promised to give ₹ 1000 to all the women, in which after the formation of the government, lakhs of women were deprived of this scheme by bringing rules and regulations.
A promise of giving ₹500 cylinder was made in the assembly elections, which the state government has not yet fulfilled.
The unemployment allowance of Rs 2500 which was earlier being given by the state government has been stopped by the government.
State President Akash Sharma said that today we surrounded the Chief Minister’s residence under the Employment Do Justice Campaign. Youth Congress officials and workers from Surguja to Bastar participated in this siege. In this siege, workers from every corner of the state reached the capital Raipur. Thousands of workers sat at the meeting place in front of the indoor stadium and raised slogans against the central government and the state government. After that, thousands of workers started going towards the Chief Minister’s residence. Then the police stopped us forcefully. Our women activists were dragged on the streets by the police. Even after that, our workers stood firm and our struggle with the police continued for 2 hours continuously. In which many of our workers have suffered body injuries. The police arrested us and locked us in the spray school grounds. The workers continued to raise slogans against the Modi government and the state government. This gherao of the Chief Minister’s residence is not the last. With the enthusiasm shown by the Youth Congress workers in the capital today in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, we will go to 11 Lok Sabha seats and in the coming 2024 general elections. The task of making Congress candidates win on 11 out of 11 seats in the elections is going to be done on the issue of Employment Two-Justice Two.
