Raipur. Residents of Kamal Vihar, spread over 1600 acres in the capital, have to face problems once again with the onset of rains. Underground electricity and drainage systems are proving to be useless in all sectors. Apart from this, like before, for the past few days, the lights of the houses and the road are getting switched off every night and are not repaired even till the afternoon of the next day.

Raghavendra Chandrakar, who lives in Sector 14, told Lalluram.com that for the last three days, there is a problem of electricity in the entire sector, due to which people are very upset. Every second or third day is immersed in darkness. There is not even water to brush teeth as soon as we wake up in the morning, because due to lack of electricity, the water supply also gets disrupted. Life is not easy without electricity. Mobile, internet, computer, everything is not working, and the biggest problem is that our studies are also getting affected.

Like Raghavendra, Yogesh Chandrakar expressed his troubles and said that everyone knows the inconvenience caused when the power goes off for one or two hours, but we are in the dark for three days and no one has come to see our problem. We have to bring water from the fields for daily use because the fields are full due to rain.

water brought from outside

Another woman Girja Bai said that there are small children in her house and the situation worsens as the evening approaches. Staying in the dark inside the house poses a danger of snakes and scorpions outside. Due to lack of water, food is not being cooked at home and we have to bring food from outside. Roomp, a guest at Girja’s house, said that he has come from the village. He said that sometimes electricity goes off in his village, but here there is no electricity for three days.

Know what the responsible people say?

When we talked to Raipur Collector Gaurav Kumar Singh about this problem, he told us that he is aware of the problem and has given instructions. It is a technical problem which will be fixed by tomorrow morning, work is in progress.

Raipur Development Authority officer Prateek Jain said that two days ago there was a report of power outage and it was fixed. But then a technical fault occurred again. Work is going on and a permanent solution will be found in two-three days.

The electricity department has given suggestions and work is going on accordingly. This is a very old problem and work is being done to solve it. Corporation Commissioner Avinash Mishra said that the RDA has not yet handed over the power to the corporation. Information has been received that the light is off and efforts are being made to fix it soon.
