Korea 01 November 2021: Under the guidance of Collector Shyam Dhawade, on the State Foundation Day, 01 November, while expanding the government’s ambitious Godhan Nyay scheme, dung procurement has been started in 329 Gauthans in the district. Dung is being procured through 136 Gauthans of the district. Extending the scheme from November 01, dung procurement has also been started in 193 newly constructed Gauthans in the district. Now dung procurement has started in a total of 329 Gauthans in the district.
Inspiring the daily life of the villages, the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel started the Narva, Garwa, Ghurva and Bari scheme, which includes important concepts like groundwater recharging. Extending this scheme, Godhan Nyay Yojana was started. Under the scheme, cow dung is being procured from farmers and animal keepers in the district.
Under the scheme, dung is being procured from farmers, cattle rearers and dung vendors. Under the guidance of Collector Shyam Dhawade, better implementation of Godhan Nyay Yojana is being done in the district. Today, dung procurement was started in 193 new Gauthans including Gram Panchayat Bhainswar, Kachar, Gram Panchayat Belbahra, Aklasarai, Shivpur, Gram Panchayat Kishori in the presence of local public representatives and Gauthan committee.
Vermi compost, super compost and other products are being manufactured from the dung purchased in Gauthans. Various livelihood activities are being conducted in Gauthans to make rural women self-reliant. Works like slippers manufacturing, pole making, tree guard, chain link fencing, vegetable production, fly ash bricks manufacturing are being done. Women from Self Help Groups associated with these employment activities are getting income.
