The first list of candidates of Chhattisgarh Congress may be released on October 15. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has also expressed hope regarding this. He said that the list will not be released till Pitru Paksha, this much is certain. CEC meeting is to be held today. The names of the first and second phases will be discussed in this meeting. The CM was talking to the media before leaving for Delhi on Thursday.

Regarding ticket distribution in BJP, the CM said that people calling it a cadre base party are misusing the cadre. He has been kept only to get votes, there is no point in opinion polling. If we had listened to the workers, we would not have been limited to 15 seats after being in power for 15 years. The same faces are back again. Earlier I had thought that we will make changes, but even Mathur Saheb did not succeed. Names of candidates will be decided in 5 states including Chhattisgarh.

At Raipur Airport, Bhupesh Baghel said that after state level meetings, single names have been decided on all 90 seats. These names have been decided after several rounds of State Election Committee meetings and Screening Committee meetings. In the meeting to be held in Delhi, the names of the candidates of the 5 states where elections are to be held including Chhattisgarh will be discussed.

Fixed names will be placed before CEC

Congress state in-charge Kumari Selja, State President Deepak Baij, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Deputy CM TS Singhdev will attend this meeting. They will present before the committee the list of names decided at the state level. After this these names will be approved, got ticket in BJP due to pressure

Regarding BJP’s second list, Bhupesh Baghel said, everyone is scared. The hall of Science College is not full. All the big leaders of BJP looted Chhattisgarh, hence everyone had pulled out. Union Home Minister Amit Shah did not come for Parivartan Yatra. Due to this pressure all the people have got tickets.

Ravi Shankar Prasad’s visit will not make any difference

Regarding the visit of former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad to Arang, Dharsiwa and Abhanpur assembly, CM Baghel said, what difference will it make? He has never been to those places. Local workers provide votes, but their sentiments are not respected.

Bhupesh Baghel said that the most important news is that the house of an ED officer has been stolen. It has come to light that a substantial amount has been stolen, but reports are not being filed.
