And amidst this celebration of the silver jubilee year, the issue of Chhattisgarhi speaking rule is also hot. Because the state was formed on the background of Chhattisgarhi identity. But after the formation of the state, the identity was sidelined. Because with the formation of the state, a letter was written by the central government to the state government, in which it was asked whether Chhattisgarh should be placed in category A or B. On behalf of the delegation, writer and professor Dr. Sudhir Sharma handed over the demand letter along with documents to Law Minister Sao. Dr. Sharma gave detailed information about the correspondence between the central and state governments in 2002 and 2003.
Law Minister Sao assured the delegation in a discussion that this is an important issue. The government will make full efforts on this. Chhattisgarhi identity is our motherly identity. You all have drawn attention to this important issue. It is the responsibility of all of us to ensure that Chhattisgarhi and Chhattisgarhis get justice.
It is worth mentioning that before this, a big conference of Chhattisgarhi speakers was held in Raipur in the month of October. Patron of Chhattisgarhi Rajbhasa Manch Nandkishore Shukla had specially participated in this conference.
Senior journalists Ram Avatar Tiwari, Manoj Singh Baghel, Satyapal Singh, senior theatre artist Vijay Mishra, Vikas Sharma, student organisation’s Rituraj Sahu, Sanjeev Sahu and Mor Chinhari Chhattisgarhi Manch convener Dr Vaibhav Bemetariha were present in the Chhattisgarhi speaking delegation.
