Raipur Collector Gaurav Kumar Singh hosted a banquet for school children on the occasion of his birthday. On the occasion of the Collector’s birthday, an invitation banquet was organized at Naveen Primary School, Dharampura.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai on Friday had issued guidelines for invitational meals asking the Collector to schedule time with school children on his birthday. During this time he was present with his family.
Collector served food
On the occasion of his birthday, the Collector served food to all the children of the school and also ate food sitting with them in the queue. During this, Raipur SP Santosh Singh DFO and Vishvesh Rai were also present with him.
In the menu of the invitation banquet, puri, vegetables, dal, rice and kheer were served to the children, along with this, the collector went to the children, asked about the dishes of their choice, served them food and finally fed cake to the children.
While eating the meal, happiness was visible on the faces of the children, they lit up and lovingly went to the collector and gave flowers as a gift. Not only this, he thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, School Education Minister Brijmohan Aggarwal and the Collector. He also got excited and expressed his desire to become a collector.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Yojana, donors can donate nutritious food to the schools of the state on special occasions, so that children can get more food and nutrition. According to the provision of date meal on community basis in the guidelines of Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirman Yojana, an already running scheme for providing food to students in schools, it has been decided to implement it in Chhattisgarh under the name of ‘Nyota Bhojan’.
