The attackers who came from the car opened fire; shot in stomach
Saharanpur, 28 June 2023 , There has been a fatal attack on Bhim Army Chief Chandrashekhar Azad in Deoband area of Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh. He was going from Delhi to his home in Chutmalpur town of Saharanpur. The attackers who came from Haryana number car fired 4 rounds on Chandrashekhar. The bullet came out touching his stomach. The glasses of Azad’s car were also broken in the firing. The vehicle number HR-70D-0278 is visible in the CCTV footage.
Chandrashekhar was taken to the Government Hospital in Deoband. After initial treatment from here, he has been referred to the district hospital of Saharanpur. Here he has been admitted to ICU after getting X-ray done. There is a crowd of supporters outside the hospital. The police have cordoned off the area and started raiding to arrest the attackers. Late in the evening, Chandrashekhar said that all the workers should maintain peace and cooperate with the police administration. Attack outside worker’s house
Bhim Army Chief Chandrashekhar Azad went to the house of Advocate Ajay, a fellow of the organization in Deoband. Ajay’s mother had passed away two days ago. As soon as Chandrashekhar left Ajay’s house and reached his car, the assailants from another car opened fire on him.

Eyewitness Soni Ambedkar, District President of Bhim Army, Saharanpur, said, “As soon as he left the program, people in a Swift car attacked him. Due to which he also got shot. 3 to 4 rounds of firing have taken place. There were 3 to 4 people in the white car. The car window was open. The vehicle was running uncontrollably. Chandrashekhar probably knows the attackers.
Police bid- the car of the attackers seen in CCTV
The car of the attackers has been seen in the CCTV camera at one place. Police said that blockade has been done in the entire city to arrest the miscreants. At the same time, efforts are being made to identify the miscreants on the basis of CCTV footage.
SSP Vipin Tada said, at around 5:15 the Deoband police received information about firing on Chandrashekhar. Top police officers reached the spot. Chandrasekhar was taken to the hospital. The bullet has come out by touching his stomach. His condition is out of danger. The police is probing the events narrated by Chandrashekhar. The events which have been told and the evidence found on the spot, further action will be taken after investigation.
SP questioned the law and order of the state

The party has written in a tweet, the murderous attack on Azad Samaj Party’s National President Chandrashekhar Azad in Deoband by criminals protected by power is highly condemnable and cowardly act.
