Raipur. Director of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Directorate of Chhattisgarh Government, Jitendra Kumar Shukla has written a letter to all the collectors and instructed them to supply petrol and diesel. Due to the sudden strike by the transporters, there is a possibility that the continuous supply of petrol/diesel and other essential commodities including LPG in the state will be affected. Due to this, instructions have been issued to all the collectors. These instructions were given to all the collectors
Petrol/diesel and domestic LPG are included in the category of essential commodities and their supply cannot be affected by anyone under any circumstances. Therefore, ensure all necessary arrangements for its continuous transportation and supply.
Strikes should not create any kind of disruption in the entry and exit of vehicles in the petroleum/diesel depots and LPG depots operated in the state. For this, duty of Revenue Police and Food Department staff should be imposed.
After the departure of vehicles from petrol/diesel depot and LPG depot, their transportation should not be disrupted in any district of the state. For this, necessary arrangements should be made in all toll points/posts.
Easy availability of these essential commodities should be maintained by forming a district level monitoring team along with the officials of the oil companies posted in your district to continuously monitor the availability and supply system of petrol/diesel/domestic LPG in the district.
