Surajpur / 04 July 2021. This scheme of Government of India is being operated by Agriculture Insurance Company of India in collaboration with Government of Chhattisgarh in 20 districts of Chhattisgarh in Kharif 2021 . Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana Week is being celebrated in Surajpur district from 1st to 7th July. Collector Dr. Gaurav Kumar Singh has appealed to the residents of the district to take maximum benefit of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana. The last date for getting crop insurance has been fixed as July 15 .
Under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, this scheme has been started with the aim of compensating for the losses caused by natural calamities and providing relief to the farmers. The main crop for Surajpur district is paddy , irrigated , unirrigated and other crops soyabean notified. Insurance units for notified crops have been set up at the village level. This can include both loanee and non-loanee farmers. Loanee farmers can get crop insurance on a voluntary basis.

The premium rate (of the sum insured) payable by the farmer will be 2 percent , for the loanee and non-loanee farmer to be insured , premium deposit , debit from the account and all through the bank , primary agricultural service cooperative society , public service center , online registration , insurance agent etc. The last date for receiving proposals from farmers (loanee and non-loanee) and deducting premium will be till July 15 and the bank ,The last date for uploading the details of each insured farmers by the financial institutions in the portal pmfby.gov.in and the last date for sending the premium through challan or online through the portal itself will be July 30 .
