Surajpur 21 December 2020.  The Red Cross Society has always been known for the selfless work associated with other human service functions, including health facilities, and this year the Voluntiero of the Red Cross Society is very appreciative of the dedication it has done in risky situations during the Corona epidemic. Red Cross Society has presented an incomparable example of humanitarian service spirit in the world by serving in times of natural disasters and war etc. The President of Indian Red Cross Society Chhattisgarh, Ms. Anusuiya Uike, Governor, Indian Red Cross Society Chhattisgarh organized in the court hall of Raj Bhavan The Governor said in his address during the ceremony. In the same honor ceremony, Surajpur district has been awarded a certificate and a sum of Rs 25 thousand as third prize for outstanding work in Kovid-19 by the Governor. Along with this, in the category of officers, Dr. of Surajpur RS Singh Prashan Patra and an amount of 10 thousand rupees and Rajneesh Garg has been honored with the award of Rs. Apart from this, Afroz Khan, Deepa Baghel, Shailendra Kushwaha have also been honored from the district.
Collector Shri Ranbir Sharma met the honored members here today. Giving congratulations and best wishes to all, he said that it is a matter of pride for the district to be honored for outstanding work in human service work. The Collector asked to plan for the next year with better works for human benefit. In this regard, Rajneesh Garg informed that a meeting of the management working committee will be held soon, in which the outline of the year will be prepared. In which the committee is constituted at the district level to increase the membership, membership drive, the formation of a committee in all educational institutions under the Junior Red Cross Society, and efforts are being made to arrange for ambulance service and Muktanjali vehicle in view of health facilities. Work is being done to prepare about 2 thousand volunteers in the district, Those which will be done under the direction of training state branch of FastAid. At present the Red Cross Society of Surajpur consists of 250 involuntary members. He informed that corona protector kits (masks, soaps, handglobs, facebuilds and PPE kits) received from the state branch will also be distributed.
