Sukma 25 May 2021. MGNREGA is proving to be very helpful in providing employment to villagers during the lock down imposed to deal with the Corona crisis. In Sukma district, special emphasis is being laid on pond, dabri, land leveling, recharge pit, CC road construction and well mining through MNREGA. In May, the administration had set a target of employment of 06 lakh 66 thousand 871 man-days in Sukma district, against which the target of 07 lakh 36 thousand 738 man-days has been given after achieving 110 percent target.
In the Sukma development block, 01 lakh 54 thousand 981 man days were created against the target of 02 lakh 03 thousand 396 man days. Similarly, 03 lakh 34 thousand 122 man days have been created against the target of 02 lakh 76 thousand 751 days in the development block Chhindgarh and 02 lakh 47 thousand 635 man days against the target of 01 lakh 86 thousand 724 man days achieved in the development block of Konta.
