Sukma , 20 November 2020. In Sukma district, the Department of Livestock Development is continuously providing assistance to the rural and urban beneficiaries through various schemes along with veterinary treatment. As a result of these schemes, the beneficiaries are getting a lot of help in their economic growth. In the same manner, goat and male goat were provided to 20 beneficiaries under goat rearing scheme last day .
Minister Lakhma benefited BPL families
Goat was provided to 20 beneficiary lessees of Gram Panchayat Hamirgarh , Kavrakopa , Marenga , Peramaras and Tongpal under goat rearing scheme by Excise and Industry Minister Kavasi Lakhma . Along with this, 01 quintal fodder was also distributed to the beneficiaries for maintenance of goat . 05 goats and 01 per beneficiaryMale goat was supplied. Addressing the beneficiaries, he said that the animals provided under goat rearing scheme will help the beneficiaries of BPL families to improve their standard of living as well as economic improvement. He said that tribal people of Sukma district follow goat in the traditional method. Due to the low cost and the need for low care, small farmers , landless farmers will be helped to strengthen their economic condition by adding it as a business.
Goat rearing scheme will help in financial assistance
Dr. S. Zaheeruddin, Deputy Director, Veterinary Department, Sukma, told that goat rearing will definitely help in improving the economic condition of BPL families with increase in breed improvement , growth rate and milk production. Farmers of the district have been inspired to adopt goat farming on a commercial scale. Along with this, the beneficiaries were given training in relation to goat rearing so that they can get benefit of goat rearing scheme in a better way. On this occasion, the District Panchayat President Mr. Harish Kavasi and the sarpanch , panch and villagers of local villages were present.
