Sukma: Chief Minister Tree Plantation Incentive Scheme launched in the state: Farmers will get incentive of 10 thousand for planting trees in private land

Sukma 06 June 2021. Chief Minister  Bhupesh Baghel formally launched the ‘Chief Minister Tree Plantation Promotion Scheme’ in a program organized at his residence office in the capital today. Along with this, he encouraged the plantation of trees by making them aware of the benefits of this scheme through virtual dialogue with the members of the Forest Management Committee and farmers of various forest divisions including public representatives in the program.
The Chief Minister said that with the introduction of greenery in the area, the children would get the taste of nutritious fruits at home by planting fruit trees, which would reduce the malnutrition rate of the children. Along with this, the environment will be balanced and by planting timber trees, farmers will also get economic support.  
Under the Chief Minister’s Tree Plantation Incentive Scheme, farmers who have taken paddy crop in Kharif year 2020, if they plant trees in their fields instead of paddy crop, they will be given incentive at the rate of 10 thousand rupees per acre per year for the next 3 years. Will go Similarly, if commercial plantation will be done from the amount available with the Gram Panchayats, then in case of successful plantation after one year, the concerned Gram Panchayats will be given incentive at the rate of Rs. This will increase the income of Panchayats in future. Apart from this, if tree plantation is done on the revenue land on commercial basis from the amount available with Joint Forest Management Committees, then like Panchayat, incentive amount will be given to the concerned committee at the rate of 10 thousand rupees per acre after one year. The right to cut and sell the trees will be with the concerned committee.
District Panchayat President Shri Harish Kawasi, Sukma Municipal President Shri Jagannath Sahu, Collector Shri Vineet Nandanwar, Forest Divisional Officer Shri JS Ramchandra, CEO District Panchayat Shri Nutan Kumar Kanwar, Deputy Collector Shri Rupendra Patel and Deputy Director Agriculture Department from Swan Room of Sukma District Collectorate Shri PR Baghel was present. All preparations are going on for plantation in the district.
