Takhatpur. Due to non-fulfillment of Modi’s guarantee, more than 11 thousand secretaries of the state have been on an indefinite strike by stopping work and putting down their pens for the last 5 days under the aegis of the State Panchayat Secretary Association. The State Secretary Association is raising its voice by staging a dharna against the central government over its promise of regularization within two years. Even after the government’s ultimatum, the Takhatpur Block Secretary Association burnt copies of the state government’s order and said that they would not end the strike over their demands. The secretaries, including the District President of the State Secretary Association, Shyam Karthik Jaiswal, warned of self-immolation if their demands are not met.

The secretaries expressed their protest by burning the copies of the state government’s order at the Takhatpur Secretary Union’s Dharna Sthal and raising slogans against the state government. They also warned that if our demands are not met by April 1, we will gherao the ministry. If our demands are not met even after this, we will go on a hunger strike. If our demands are not met even after the hunger strike, we will commit suicide. We are not going to bow down to this oppressive policy of the government.
