State registration offices will remain open during holidays, facility of e-stamp counter will also be available.

Raipur. Registration work is being done through computerized NGDRS system in all the registration offices of the state. In this financial year, there is a government holiday in the last week of March from 29th to 31st March. To ensure that the parties do not face inconvenience in registering documents related to purchase and sale of immovable property, all the registration offices in the state will remain open even during the year-end holidays from 29th to 31st March.

To ensure that the parties do not face any inconvenience in obtaining the stamp for registration, e-stamp counters will also remain open on holidays. In March, after March 16, the parties have got convenience due to the registration work taking place in the registration offices on all Saturdays and Sundays also. Every year maximum documents are registered in the month of March. Compared to normal days, about two to three times more documents are presented for registration every day. Keeping this in mind, the limit of daily appointments has also been increased in the month of March in this financial year.

Appointment facility has been provided from 10 am to 7 pm. On a normal day, appointments are available only till 5 pm. By conducting the registration work on holidays, it will not only provide convenience to the parties wishing to get registered in the financial year itself, but will also increase the revenue received by the department.
