1. Bank security measures:

  • Instructions were given to always keep the alarm system on in banks and check it from time to time.
  • It was said to ensure the mandatory presence of security guards in every bank and to get their weapons verified.
  • Instructions were given to keep the fire system in working condition in banks and ATM booths, make adequate arrangements for CCTV cameras and maintain regular backup data.

2. Police cooperation:

  • Information related to the crime and footage of the ATM booth were asked to be provided to the police immediately.
  • An appeal was made to immediately provide information about suspicious activities and persons to the nearest police station.

3. KYC Update and Verification:

  • The need to strengthen the KYC of customers and physically verify it was emphasized.

4. Keep an eye on suspicious persons:

  • Strict instructions were given to the guards to stop people from entering banks and ATMs with their faces covered.

5. Fraud and cheating prevention:

  • It was said that immediate action should be taken on incidents of digital fraud by cyber criminals and the process of holding the accounts of the fraudsters should be expedited.
  • Cooperation was sought from banks to return the money to the accounts of victims in fraud cases.

6. Protection of customers:

  • When a customer who is a victim of cyber fraud reaches the bank, he was instructed to provide all possible help to him and inform the police immediately.

Discussions were held on how the bank branch managers should prepare a new action plan by coordinating with the police and prevent crimes by promptly exchanging information while working on cases including fraud, how the police and the bank can jointly catch a criminal, how the money of any victim can be returned quickly and how it can be improved further.
