Some new general secretaries will be appointed, some new district and block presidents, while there will be changes in the front and cell as well. But the news of changing the state Congress president has been put to a halt for now! Deepak Baij will remain the president. It is possible that he will complete his term. Because Baij has received blessings from Baghel, he has also got the support of senior leaders.
In fact, after the crushing defeat in the Lok Sabha after the assembly elections, the discussion had intensified that the state Congress president Deepak Baij would be removed. The command of the party would be handed over to some other senior leader. Amidst the discussions, the names of some senior leaders were also included in the race for the president. There was also news from some places that the race to Delhi has been completed. The equation of South to North was made. However, after the review meeting of the defeat in the Lok Sabha in the past, there were indications that everything is positive regarding Baij. Because after this meeting, a scene outside Rajiv Bhawan was captured on camera. After the review meeting, Baij had touched the feet of former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and received his blessings.
Today, when a meeting was held in Rajiv Bhawan in the presence of all the senior leaders of Congress, the picture of the discussions going on regarding the change in the organization has become clearer. Since Deepak Baij was present in the meeting along with former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Leader of Opposition Dr. Charan Das Mahant, former Deputy Chief Minister TS Singhdev, former minister Ravindra Choubey, Tamradhwaj Sahu, Mohd. Akbar, Amarjeet Bhagat, Dhanendra Sahu, Mohan Markam, Amitesh Shukla and many senior leaders, MLAs and former MLAs. Therefore, in the presence of everyone, the leaders have unanimously emphasized on making the party present organizationally. According to party sources, all the leaders talked about strengthening the party organization under the leadership of Deepak Baij and giving priority to the upcoming action plans. It was also decided that no leader will work with resentment. Forgetting the past, everyone’s goal will be the victory of the party in the upcoming elections.
Talking to reporters after the meeting, Deepak Baij said that the party leaders have also stressed on strengthening the organization. It has also been decided that a meeting of senior leaders will be held every month in Rajiv Bhawan. Not only this, all the big leaders of the party will come to the office from time to time and give impetus to the work of the organization. The first goal of the party is to provide collective leadership to the party. The priority now is to make Congress candidates win from by-elections to civic and panchayat elections. On the discussion of changes in the organization, he said that the guidance and suggestions of senior leaders will be implemented. Changes will be made wherever changes are needed. Many appointments are to be made from state officials to district and block levels. Preliminary discussions have been held on this.
