On Tuesday, on the Ashtami date of Chaitra Navratri, special worship of the Goddess is being done in the temples of Chhattisgarh since morning. Havan and puja are going on in the temples of the capital Raipur since morning. There is a huge crowd of devotees here. Special havan-puja is also going on in Bamleshwari temple located in Dongargarh.

Havan-puja will be performed with chanting of mantras in the Mahamaya temple located in Purani Basti. Apart from this, special havan will be performed on Ashtami in other temples of the city including Kali Mata temple near Akashvani, Banjari Mata temple near Bhanpuri.

Bhandara organized in different temples

During Chaitra Navratri, Bhandara will be organized in different temples of the city from Ashtami to Navami. After the Havan, Prasad will be distributed to the people. At the same time, a Shobha Yatra will be taken out on the occasion of Ram Navami on Wednesday. Shobha Yatra will also be taken out from different areas of the city.

Kalaratri worship at night

On the seventh day of Navratri, Kalratri, the seventh form of Mother Goddess, was worshipped. Rituals continued here till late night. This sequence of worshiping the Goddess continued on Tuesday morning also. There is a queue of devotees in the Kali Mata temple situated at Akashvani Tiraha since morning.

Similarly, the special worship of Mother Goddess continued till late night in the ancient Kankali temple of the city. On Saptami Tithi itself, Maha Aarti of Mata was organized in Ambe temple located in Satti Bazar. A large number of women and girls participated in it with plates of light in their hands.

Ashtami of Navratri is also called Jaya Tithi. This is a day of giving strength and eliminating diseases. By worshiping a girl on Ashtami Tithi, one gets the fruit of worshiping the Goddess and also gets special virtue. From this morning itself, people performed puja and worshiped girls in temples and homes. Kanya Bhoj was organized at many places.

Huge crowd of devotees gathered in Dongargarh

Havan was performed in Maa Bamleshwari temple on Ashtami. After Havan, Kanya Bhoj was organized. The wish lamp of the temple will be immersed in the pond above at 4 am on Navami day. Whereas the sequence of pouring oil into the remaining flame will be stopped, after which the flame will automatically cool down.

7151 Jyoti Kalash have been lit in the temple situated on the mountain. Similarly, 901 lamps are burning in the temple below and 61 lamps are burning in the Shitala temple. After Havan this evening, on Navami i.e. Wednesday night at 9 pm, the lights of both the temples will be immersed in Mahavir Pond.

On the occasion of Panchami, a gold crown was presented to Maa Bamleshwari Devi situated on the mountain on Saturday. After the adornment, the goddess situated above was made to wear a gold crown. The total weight of the crown is 500 grams. Out of which a devotee of Mata has gifted 200 grams of gold.

Thousands of devotees reached Maa Kudargarhi Dham located in Surajpur on Ashtami for darshan and worship. There was a queue of devotees at Kudargarh Dham since late Monday night. There has been a queue of devotees since the doors of the temple opened at 4 in the morning.

After Havan at Adishakti Mahamaya Devi Temple,
special worship was done on Ashtami at Maa Mahamaya Devi Temple located in Purnahuti Ratanpur. During this time there was a crowd of devotees since morning. Havan-puja and rituals will take place in the afternoon, which will continue till night. After Purnahuti on Maha Navami Tithi, the mother will be given special royal make up.

After this, fifty-six types of offerings will be made. After Kanya Puja and distribution of Prasad, Jawara and Jyoti Kalash will be immersed. On Monday, on Saptami, a group of pilgrims had left in the evening for the darshan of Mahamaya Devi. People from all over the district as well as from far off places came on foot to have darshan of Mahamaya Devi. This sequence continued throughout the night.
