Raipur, 01 November 2021 : The process of sowing of Rabi crops has started rapidly in the state. So far, different types of rabi crops have been sown in one lakh 36 thousand 440 hectares. This year the target is to sow Rabi crops in 18 lakh 25 thousand hectares in the state, which is 76 thousand 320 hectares more as compared to 17 lakh 48 thousand 680 hectares of rabi crops in the state last year.
According to the information received from the Agriculture Department, so far in Rabi season this year wheat, paddy, maize, barley, jowar and other cereal crops have been sown in 1600 hectares, pulses in 95 thousand 900 hectares, oilseeds in 20 thousand 840 hectares. Sugarcane has been sown in 4 thousand 280, vegetables and other crops have been sown in 13 thousand 630 hectares.
