Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has said that Chhattisgarh is developing at a rapid pace following the path of truth, non-violence, brotherhood, fraternity, equality and harmony told by Baba Gurughasidas. Addressing the program organized on Baba Gurughasidas Jayanti in village Lalpur Dham of Lormi development block of Mungeli district today, he said that a provision has been made to give 13 percent reservation to Scheduled Castes according to the present population. Demanding the Government of India to conduct the 2021 census soon, the Chief Minister said that according to the new census, reservation will be provided to the Scheduled Castes immediately. In the programme, the Chief Minister announced Rs one crore for the development of Lalpur Dham.
In the program organized at Lalpur Dham, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel worshiped Joda Jaitkham and the temple, the symbol of faith and belief of the Satnami community, and wished for the happiness and prosperity of the state. Congratulating and wishing people on the occasion of Baba Gurughasidas Jayanti, he said that Baba Gurughasidas has shown the way to follow the truth. The state government is following the path shown by Baba. His message of social harmony is relevant even today.
The Chief Minister said in the program that the Government of Chhattisgarh has done the work of strengthening the economy. Here the farmers are getting full price for their hard work. His agriculture loan and irrigation tax have been waived off. Minor forest produce and Urad, Moong and Arhar are being procured on support price. The purchase price of sugarcane has been increased due to which the economic condition of the farmers has strengthened. He said that in order to strengthen education, health etc. systems, one thousand crore rupees have been approved for the repair of dilapidated and repairable schools and other government buildings and Rs. 1200 crore has been approved for the strengthening of technical education. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that following Babaji’s message to serve humanity, the state government has given free ration for three months to those living below the poverty line during the lockdown implemented in the country during Corona.
Urban Administration and Development Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahria said in his address in the program that we have to move forward following the path shown by Baba Guru Ghasidas, only then the state of Chhattisgarh will move forward. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has done the work of promoting the tradition and culture of Chhattisgarh and maintaining social harmony. He said that the Chief Minister has performed Bhumi Pujan for the establishment of Gurughasidas Shodh Peeth and Museum in Nava Raipur and for providing national level coaching facilities to the meritorious students of Scheduled Castes for competitive examinations. With their establishment, the youth of the society will get a chance to move forward.
The program organized at Lalpur Dham was also addressed by Parliamentary Secretary Mrs. Rashmi Ashish Singh, former minister and MLA of Mungeli Mr. Punnulal Mohle, MLA of Lormi Mr. Dharamjeet Singh and President of Satnam Kalyan Samiti Bandhwa Gautia Mr. Phanishwar Patle. President of Chhattisgarh State Cooperative (Apex) Bank Mr. Baijnath Chandrakar, District Panchayat President Mrs. Lekhni Sonu Chandrakar, Rajmahant Mr. Bhuneshwar Patre, President of Janpad Panchayat Lormi Mrs. Meena Naresh Patle, Member of Scheduled Caste Authority Ms. Ratnavali Kaushal, IG of Bilaspur Range Mr. Badrinarayan Meena, Collector Mr. Rahul Dev and Superintendent of Police Mr. Chandramohan Singh, along with many public representatives and dignitaries of the area were also present in large numbers in the programme.
