Renu Jogi, the candidate of the Janata Congress Chhattisgarh Party, which broke away from the Congress, won the election from here and became the MLA from the area for the fourth time in a row.
Janata Congress candidate Dr. Renu Jogi got 48,800 votes, while BJP candidate Kashiram Sahu got 45,774 votes. Whereas Congress candidate Vibhor Singh got 30,803 votes. In this way, Janata Congress Chhattisgarh’s candidate Renu Jogi defeated BJP’s Kashiram Sahu by 3026 votes.
