    Home Minister Shri Tamradhwaj Sahu has said that repair and renovation work of bad and dilapidated roads of the state should be completed by the month of December. He has directed the officers to prepare a work plan for each road and the work of maintenance of roads should be completed within the stipulated time period. Home Minister Shri Sahu reviewed the work by taking a meeting of departmental officers here today.

    Minister Shri Sahu directed the Chief Engineer, Superintending Engineer and Executive Engineer to conduct field inspections and monitoring 4 to 5 days a week to expedite the repair and renovation works along with the construction of roads. He did A.D.B. The roads to be built under the road which pass through densely populated, by-pass roads were asked to be constructed there. Most of the roads in urban areas have been damaged due to water logging, drains should be constructed along these roads and where the drains are choked, they should be cleaned. He said that road maintenance work should be done in a systematic manner. In the meeting, the Home Minister informed that about 5000 km of road is in normal condition in the state. Minor patch work is required on 5 thousand 92 km of road. 4700 kms of roads which are in slightly poor condition, The screws are being worked on and repaired. Only 433 km of roads which is worse. These roads need to be renewed.
    During that time, the Home Minister Shri Sahu also flagged off five running laboratory vehicles to check the quality of the roads. These mobile laboratory vehicles have been sent to all the five divisions. These mobile laboratories will enable inspection of impact value tax, asphalt testing, gradation, field density, etc. in the roads under construction. Apart from this, these laboratories will help in monitoring the quality of roads in remote areas.

    Minister Shri Sahu said that Naxal activities have come down due to the State Government following the policy of trust, development and security under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel. Public’s confidence in the state government has increased due to public friendly schemes, security of the general public through credible policing. He told that in 4 years about 15 hundred Maoists have surrendered. 459 cases have been registered by the department against 206 casual financial companies (chit fund). Out of which 376 cases have been prepared and presented in the court. In these cases, 632 directors and office bearers have been arrested. Minister Mr. Sahu informed that 25 lakh 6 thousand 471 applications have been made by the aggrieved people who have invested in chit fund company, out of which 2 lakh 37 thousand 940 applications have been resolved. The process of resolving the remaining applications is in progress.

    Home Minister Shri Sahu said in the meeting that with the aim of bringing transparency in the policing proceedings, CCTVs are being installed in the police stations. The work of formation of women’s cell is also being done, for this a provision of 25 crores has been made. Till now CC in 95 police stations of the state. TVs have been installed and work order has been issued for installation of CCTVs in 373 police stations and 8 outposts. Action has been taken to constitute women cells in 455 police stations of the state and women cells in 28 districts. Strict steps are also being taken by the department for the prevention of cyber crimes, under which Citizen Financial Fraud To Free No-1930 has been issued. Till July 21, 2022, Rs 3.86 crore has been held from cyber criminals. Now 797 accused have been arrested. Public awareness campaigns are being conducted to prevent cyber crime.

    Minister Shri Tamradhwaj Sahu discussed about the maintenance and renovation and beautification of religious places in the review of Tourism, Religious Trust and Endowment Department. Shri Sahu said that Ram Van Gaman Tourism Circuit is an ambitious scheme of the State Government. A provision of Rs 137.45 crore has been made for this. Officials said that under the scheme the work of Phase I and II has almost been completed. The work of Phase III will be completed by March 2023. On the other hand, approval of 22.43 crore has been given for tourism development and beautification in Damakheda, the city of Kabir. The Tribal Tourist Circle is being prepared by the Tourism Board by identifying 14 places in the state. It will be completed by March 2023. He said that with the aim of promoting tourism and providing better facilities to the tourists, the hotels of the Mandal, The process of leasing out the motel and resort is going on. Soon the facilities will be available for the tourists in the new form. 

    Parliamentary Secretary Shri Chintamani Maharaj, Public Works Department Secretary Shri Siddhartha Komal Pardeshi, Director of State Road Construction Authority Dr. Saransh Mitter, ENC Shri KK Pipri along with Chief Engineer and Superintending Engineer were present in the meeting. Director General of Police Shri Ashok Juneja from Home Department, Special DG Shri Rajesh Mishra, DG Jail Shri Sanjay Pillay, ADG Shri Arundev Gautam, ADG Naxal Operation Shri Vivekananda, IG Intelligence Shri Anand Chhabra and other key officers of the Department and Religious Trust and Endowment Department. Smt. Renu Ji Pillay, Vice-Chairman of Tourism Board Smt. Chitrarekha Sahu, Secretary of Tourism Department Shri Anbalagan P., MD Shri Anil Sahu and other concerned key officers were present.
