Ration cards can be renewed in Chhattisgarh till April 30: Government extended the date of online application for the third time; 90% card update

After the formation of BJP government in Chhattisgarh, the work of ration card updation is going on. For this, the application date has been extended once again. Now people will be able to update their ration card through online application till 30th April.

Earlier the application date has been extended twice. The first order was to apply by 15th February. It was postponed to 25 February and then to 15 March. Now the government has given the facility of online application till 30th April.

90 percent card update

The renewal work of all 77 lakh ration cards will be done by April 30. The department has taken this decision following the instructions of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai. Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department Minister Dayal Das Baghel said that 90 percent of the cards have been updated. Keeping in view the convenience of the people, the date for online renewal application has been extended.

Food Department Director Jitendra Shukla has issued guidelines in this regard to the collectors of all the districts. The Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department has prepared a mobile app for ration card renewal. It can be downloaded by going to Google Play Store. Beneficiaries can also download this app from the Food Department website http://khadya.cg.nic.in.

How to apply for renewal:
Ration card holders can apply online for renewal through this app on their mobile. For those beneficiaries who do not have Android mobile or where there is no mobile connectivity, the facility of online application for renewal of ration cards is also being provided through online process at the Fair Price Shop (Government Ration Shop) level.

The process of ration card renewal is free.
According to the instructions issued by the government, the entire process of ration card renewal of Antyodaya, Priority, Destitute and Disabled categories will be free. They will not have to pay any amount for the new ration card. The state government will bear its expense.

General category ration card holders will have to pay Rs 10 for renewal through the app.
