When he became CM for the first time

In such a situation, the then BJP national president Venkaiah Naidu wanted to give the command of the state BJP to two senior MPs Ramesh Bais and Dilip Singh Judev, but they were not ready.

After this, Naidu called and talked to Dr. Raman and he agreed, hence he was given this responsibility. Then in the 2003 elections, BJP won 50 out of 90 seats. After this Raman Singh became the first elected Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh. Till 2018, Dr. Raman Singh remained the CM of the state for 15 years.

Property worth 4 crores, but also a loan of 21 lakhs

According to the affidavit given in the Election Commission, Dr. Raman Singh has assets worth Rs. 4 crores. At the same time, his wife has property worth Rs 1.21 crore and children have property worth Rs 2.53 crore. His sources of income include salary and allowances, farming, rent and interest on savings.
