Raipur, 22 October 2020. The date of entry of logo design competition for the Ram Vanagman tourism circuit has now been extended till October 28 by the state government’s tourism department. The first entry deadline was 25 October. In this competition, the winning contestant will be given a prize of Rs. 10,000 and a certificate on selection of excellent ‘logo’. Participants can now send their designed logo to tourism department’s email id [email protected] till 28 October . Ram Vanagman Tourism Circuit Project is a major scheme of the state government. The life of Lord Rama is associated with the public, so the logo design has been invited from the public for this project. For the development of tourism in Chhattisgarh and for preservation and promotion of cultural values, a comprehensive plan has been prepared for the development of the Ram Van Gaman tourism circuit. India’s cultural and mythological man Shri Ram has a deep connection with Chhattisgarh. In ancient times, this land, called Dandakaranya, Mahakantar, Kosal and Dakshin Kosal, has been the birthplace of Shri Ram in different periods. During his exile, he spent most of the 14 years here. From Korea located in the north of Chhattisgarh to Sukma in the south, the places associated with Rama, a whole range of ancient relics, which not only folk beliefs are associated with, Rather, they have also been sources of local cultural values. The Ram Van Gaman tourism circuit is a project to develop such places by connecting them together. 75 locations associated with Rama have been identified. In the first phase of the project, 9 of these places are to be developed and beautified. In the first phase, Sitamarhi-Harchauka (Korea), Ramgarh (Sarguja), Shivrinarayan (Janjgir-Champa), Turturiya (Balodabazar), Chandkhuri (Raipur), Rajim (Gariaband), Sihawa-Saptarishi Ashram (Dhamtari), Jagdalpur (Bastar), Ramaram (Sukma) is selected. About 137 crore 45 lakh rupees will be spent on this.
