Rajnandgaon: Distribution of tool kits to the women of Bihan of Village Maneri for Honey Mission (Honey) Pilot Project

Self-help group women trained for beekeeping , financial condition will be strengthened

Rajnandgaon 28 March 2021. Silent home , silent dynasty and toolkit distribution function was organized by Khadi and Village Industries Commission under the Honey Mission Pilot Project (honey) at Village Maneri in Dongargaon Development Block . It is noteworthy that the forest near Maneri village and the climate there has been found suitable for beekeeping and has been selected for the Honey Mission Pilot Project of the Government of India. Under this scheme, 3 women self-help groups of Bihan from Maneri and adjoining villages were selected and given 5 days training, which will provide employment to women and strengthen their economic condition.

Retired Assistant Director of Khadi and Village Industries Department Shri Rakesh Thakur said that the bee lives like a family in Kutumb. The bee collects honey from pollen and the work of all the bees is divided among themselves. Similarly, women of self help groups should work together for honey production. Khadi and Village Industries Commission officer Shri Prem Kumar Sahu gave information about the schemes of the commission and the government. Khadi and Village Industries Commission official Mr. Prakash Baghel informed that an app has been launched by the Khadi Board and the Commission to promote small industries in the village. In which the product can be sold online. Shri Pradeep Sharma gave information about the women to this project and marketing of the materials produced by them. Distinguished citizens and villagers were present on the occasion.
