Rajnandgaon 28 December 2020. With the construction of Dabri, Mr. Khilwan not only got the facility of irrigation, but his economic status was strengthened by fisheries. Under the MGNREGA scheme of the government in village Amakatta of Churia development block, Shri Khilwan’s dabri has been constructed at a cost of Rs 1 lakh 67 thousand. Feeding has 10 members in the family, whose livelihood is entirely dependent on agriculture. Prior to the construction of Dabri, Mr. Khilwan did not have irrigation facilities, and for years he depended on rainwater, which reduced the crop production in the field. Presently, due to the availability of irrigation facility with the construction of Dabri, the paddy crop has increased.
Mr. Khilwan said that under the convergence with other departments, he has been distributed seeds for fisheries in Dabri, which has strengthened his economic position. Similarly, Arhar seeds have been provided to them by the Agriculture Department. Which they have been rammed in Dabri. Describing the situation before the construction of Dabri, Mr. Khilwan said that before the construction of Dabri, there was no rain water in his land, due to which there was no good crop. After the construction of Dabri today, the crop has grown almost one and a half times in the present land. Due to which water conservation has taken place and the water level of the land has increased. Arhar crop has been taken on the rams of Dabri and gram is being cultivated in the surrounding land.
