Rajnandgaon 13 February 2021. Collector Topswar Verma inaugurated the Flower Festival 2021 organized by Municipal Corporation Rajnandgaon in Anand Vatika today. In his address, Collector Shri Verma said that this two-day flower festival organized in Anand Vatika of the city is special. Stalls of various departments and women’s self-help group stalls have been set up here. People have become health conscious and have increased consciousness towards yoga as well. The number of gardens in the city has increased. He said that it is not right to have only roads and concrete buildings in the city , but should be inclined towards nature. Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mr. Chandrakant Kaushik has got plantations done in various places of the city ,The effect of which is now visible. Today, flowers and animals and birds are the center of attraction of the people. Everyone is taking selfies here. He said that there is a need to encourage farmers to cultivate flowers. Farmers can cultivate marigold , tuberose and rose under many government schemes , which will increase their income. The district has advanced farmers and needs to be encouraged to cultivate flowers.
Superintendent of Police Shri D Shravan said that it is a pleasure to see beautiful flowers and today the Municipal Corporation Commissioner has organized a flower festival with interest in Anand Vatika here. Birthday park is also built here. Floral heightened festival in seeing flowers with lots of winter , which seem very amazing. He wished the Municipal Corporation , Horticulture Department and all departments for such an event. Forest Officer, Mr. BP Singh said that flowers teach us the art of living. The festival is a lively and sweet event. It also has good effect mentally and psychologically near nature and relieves stress. District Panchayat CEO Mr. Ajit Vasant said that this effort of the Municipal Corporation is appreciated for its inclination towards nature and environment. While giving information regarding the event, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Shri Chandrakant Kaushik said thatA three-day flower festival was also held in 2020 . This is the second year of the event in Rajnandgaon. Horticulture college and horticulture department got full support. On this occasion Padmashri Smt Phoolbasan Bai Yadav , Executive Engineer of Municipal Corporation Shri Deepak Joshi and other officials were present.
It is worth mentioning that in this two-day flower festival, peacock , deer , vanbhansa , bullock cart , boat made of colorful flowers in Anand Vatika are the center of attraction of the people. Flowers of various species have been planted here. Model of Narva , Ghuruva , Garuva , Bari and stalls of government departments have also been set up in Anand Vatika . Stalls of various departments including Public Relations Department , Forest Department , Horticulture Department , Municipal Corporation , Agriculture , Tribal Development Department , Rajvan Foods have been set up. Various competitions and events have also been organized.
