Incidents of stabbing are continuously coming to light in Azad Chowk area of the capital Raipur. A stabbing incident also took place on Sunday night. In this case, the accused dragged the victim out of the house at 1 o’clock in the night and attacked him fatally. The victim has been admitted to AIIMS Hospital in a bloody condition.
The matter did not stop here. The victim’s wife told that after the incident, the women of the locality saw one of the absconding accused roaming in the locality the next day. So they ran and caught him. Then he was handed over to the police. The fearless accused threatened the people of the locality in front of the police that they would not be able to celebrate Diwali this year. Know the entire incident.
Actually, this whole matter is of Arjun Nagar, Samta Colony of Azad Chowk area of Raipur. Lakshmi Kumbi lodged an FIR at Azad Chowk police station. She told that on October 5, around 1 am, she was sleeping at home with her family. Just then there was a loud knocking sound on the door. When her husband Rahul Kumbi got up and opened the door, three-four youths were standing outside.
They pulled her husband out. Then they started abusing and beating him. Meanwhile, one of the accused took out a knife and stabbed him in the stomach. Due to which Rahul Kumbi bled badly. He also tried to catch the accused in injured condition but the accused fled from the spot. The victim was admitted to AIIMS hospital. The accused said – the people of the locality will not be able to celebrate Diwali.
The next day after the incident, the accused Tillu Bagh was caught by the women of the locality while roaming there. After which he was handed over to the police. The accused was also threatening the victim’s family along with the people of the locality in front of the police. He said that you people will not be able to celebrate Diwali this time. Hearing this the victim’s family is still in fear.
Police registered section of assault
In this case, the victim’s wife said that her husband was fatally attacked. The accused had reached outside the house at 1 o’clock in the night with complete planning. They wanted to kill her husband. He also threatened to kill him in front of the police. After which when the policemen were told about this threat, the policemen said that he was drunk, what would he do if I told him?
The victim’s wife said that strict action should be taken against the accused for the deadly attack. However, the police have currently registered a case under assault and abuse.
‘Ganja, liquor and gambling are prevalent openly in the area’
A woman living in that area told that in this area drunk youths are sitting openly near the tracks. Ganja and liquor are sold there. But the police does not take any action. Apart from this, they also keep molesting women. It has become difficult to pass through there. This situation continues till 2-3 in the night. Against which the people of the locality have made demands to the police several times.
