Tendupatta collectors will get incentive of more than 424 crores, remuneration
will be distributed to Forest Management Committees, dividend amount of 44 crores

An amount of Rs 472 crore 31 lakh will be distributed under the Department of Forest and Climate Change in a large-scale program organized on World Tribal Day in Chhattisgarh on August 09. In these, incentive remuneration of more than Rs 424 crore will be given to Tendupatta collectors and dividend amount of Rs 44 crore will be distributed to Forest Management Committees.
It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has made a significant increase in the Tendupatta collector amount given to tendupatta collectors in the state. Along with this, many schemes like social and group security insurance etc. are also being run for the welfare of Tendupatta collectors. It is noteworthy that in the year 2018, the collection remuneration of tendu leaves was Rs. 2 thousand 500 per standard bag. Which was increased to Rs 4,000 per standard bag in the year 2019, taking an important decision by the state government in the interest of Tendupatta collectors. Along with this, incentive remuneration in the form of bonus is also being distributed to Tendupatta collectors. Preparations are in full swing by the department under the guidance of Principal Secretary Forest Mr. Manoj Pingua as per the instructions of Forest Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar for systematic distribution of incentive remuneration and dividend amount in the program organized in the district headquarters of the state on the occasion of World Tribal Day. Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Shri V. Necessary instructions have been given by Srinivasa Rao to all the Chief Conservators of Forests and Divisional Forest Officers for this.
In Chhattisgarh, incentive remuneration of Rs 424 crore 11 lakh will be distributed to Tendupatta collectors on the occasion of World Tribal Day. Under this, incentive remuneration of Rs 163 crore 62 lakh will be distributed to 9 lakh 49 thousand 944 collectors of 733 societies which were in profit in the year 2021. Similarly, for the collection year 2022, incentive remuneration of Rs 260 crore 49 lakh will be distributed to 8 lakh 61 thousand 772 collectors of 661 committees who were in profit. This information was given by the Managing Director of Chhattisgarh State Minor Forest Produce Association Mr. Anil Kumar Rai. It is notable that the Chhattisgarh government distributes the profit from the business of tendu leaves to the wage collectors.
