In Chhattisgarh, eminent personalities and folk artists who were honored with the Padma Shri expressed their respect for the laborers by participating in Bore-Basi Tihar. On the occasion of International Labor Day, the Department of Culture organized Bore-Basi Tihar at Gadkaleva in capital Raipur.
Sacks are very popular in Chhattisgarh’s rural areas and especially in labor families. It is traditionally eaten in everyone’s homes in the Chhattisgarh region. On the initiative of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, an appeal was made to organize Bore-Basi Tihar in honor of the workers on International Labor Day. In this episode, Mr. Madan Singh Chauhan, Mr. Bharti Bandhu, President of Kala Academy, Mr. Yogendra Tripathi, President of Tribal Folk Arts Academy, Mr. Naval Shukla, Director of Culture Department, Mr. Vivek Acharya and other artists, honored with Padma Shri in Gadkaleva Expressed respect towards the workers by eating.
