Durg residents Mrs. Kamleshwari Bai and Lakshmi are building their careers by getting loans for their favorite work through the Saksham scheme of the Women and Child Development Department. In the Mahila Samridhi Sammelan held last day, checks were given to women for setting up their own employment. Chhattisgarh government is continuously making efforts towards art, skill and training of youth. Mrs. Kamleshwari Bai told that under the scheme, a loan of Rs. 6 lakh has been approved for installing oil crushing machine. Lakshmi Baghel of Durg has also been given a check of Rs 2 lakh to start her own beauty parlor. Today women are fulfilling their dreams by taking advantage of Saksham Yojana. The daughters of Durg region have now decided to convert their skills into self-employment with courage.
Lakshmi told that since childhood, I was very fond of dressing up and also loved decorating others. To give recognition to my skills and hobbies, I contacted the Women and Child Development Department and got information about Saksham Scheme. The department also made arrangements for training. I like this work very much. When I heard about Saksham Yojana, I felt that this is the right opportunity to become self-employed.
Under the loan scheme of Chhattisgarh Mahila Kosh, the loan limit for women of self-help groups has been increased to Rs 6 lakh. Loans are provided to women at a simple annual interest rate of 3 percent. Under Saksham Yojana, benefits are given to women living below the poverty line or widows, abandoned, unmarried women.
